Welcome to week 8

Welcome to week 2! We hope you enjoyed the first week and are ready to learn more about English language teaching and learning! It’s been great (virtually) meeting all of you, learning about your reasons for doing the course and reading your comments in the forum discussions. Ok, this week we have two units for you but don’t panic if you haven’t finished the activities from week 1 yet, you can still work through that first week and get to unit 2 a little later. Just don’t get too far behind as it can be tricky to catch up.

Before we get started, please note that the clocks in the UK moved backwards by one hour at the weekend. This means that the times of the live session will now be in GMT, not BST.

Thanks for joining us here. Your tutors, Manuel Flores and Caroline Grainger welcome you and hope you find the next 8 weeks engaging, stimulating and interesting. Now, you can get started by watching the welcome video below and working through the course orientation which you’ll find at the bottom of the page. The first unit will be available on Monday 19th October at 10.00 UK time and will appear at the bottom of this page. Good luck!
