We’re now moving on to the last unit of the course that focusses on the tools in Sketch Engine, and it’s a high-concept, high-power thriller (possibly). That’s because this unit will focus on how to use the Corpus Query Language function in Sketch Engine. This can be a bit tricky at first, and it’s fine to shout at your computer while you get the hang of it, but once you do so, you’ll find it allows you to search for complex lexicogrammatical patterns in a corpus and really dig down into the finer grain of the language.
