Course goals

By the end of this course, you will be able to…

  • better understand and consider the role of learning outcomes in EMI module design
  • compare and contrast different approaches to curriculum and syllabus design and how these can relate to EMI contexts differently
  • evaluate a range of possible pedagogical approaches for teaching subjects through English
  • be able to select, adapt and create a range of appropriate module materials that can support EMI students in a principled way
  • consider the role of how best to ensure quality of EMI provision by analysing a range of quality assurance approaches and methods and how these will fit within institutional and national processes.
