    Interesting question @anastasios

I think there’s a convergence of a number of issues. Coming out of the pandemic, where we had been online for lessons, using shared drives for materials and working (teaching/learning) on screen the whole time, a lot of my students are happy to be back with physical books and pencils and to have ditched the use of devices in lessons. While my older teenagers/young adults are very aware of the need to be greener, they are also aware of the problems of technology: it was the topic of my advanced class with teens yesterday who were talking about technology addiction/dependency. There’s a lot to unpack, but I think for specific activities/lessons they’d be happy to use a device if I showed them how they could improve and check their own writing in this way.
