Here are some activities. I’ve got to experiment more, because they’re very similar and I was hoping to make one drop and drag.

These activities work well @sue. I presume they would come after students have seen the vocabulary, otherwise they might be quite difficult.

My two activities are in the links at the bottom of this post.

However, having followed and checked the instructions, I remain unable to come up with a link from HP5 to share on here. The link is being generated but it does not appear in the box but at the bottom left of my screen – and when I try to grab it, it disappears. I had the same issue when trying to share my activity from the previous task. Any suggestions gratefully accepted, thanks @David

I have finally succeeded in extracting the links from the embedding info – and now see they are opening! It’s been very frustrating and time consuming but at least some kind of outcome. Wonder if anyone else had similar issues?

@azurial if you just use ‘external link’ one rather than the ’embed code’ then it automatically embeds it! not intuitive but we were warned ;-)

                    Hi Georgie

Thanks very much for stepping in! I have been trying to do as you suggest for a couple of days – but H5P is just not generating a link for me in the External Link box (as circled by you and I can see the link in yours).

When I looked at your post just now, I thought you had the same issue but – upon re-opening – your exercise is appearing fully open on the screen now – with no link necessary.

All very mysterious. It seems to be a problem my end!

Thanks again and see you tomorrow

These activities work well @azurial. Just a minor typo in task 2, sentence 5.

These two tasks are nicely staged @georgie_l, with clear instructions. The ‘space, ‘no space’ guidance was very helpful.

The column is a good way of combining tasks, but I did manage to answer some of the first questions by reading the second activity and not having to listen.

This is not particularly cohesive or tidy, but attempting to try out the different question types.

Hi @paul-m, good use of the question set. I especially like questions 2 & 4 having the instruction right above the task. In task 2, just move the space along to the left by 1 word.

I’ve been having a play around with activities:

This is a drag text activity which seems to be OK:

I was trying to have a play with getting audio onto the platform; which I have done here:

But I can’t work out how to actually add any activities to it  or how to add audio onto other activities – impressed at your skills @georgie_l.

In the Column activity, there is an option to add audio to an activity.

Then, once the audio is uploaded, you can add another activity below it.

, like the way you vary the activities within the question set to avoid too much repetition of question types. Keeps students on their toes and avoids the ‘I’ll just click one of the options and see if it’s right’ syndrome setting in ;-)

Otherwise, they just copy the words into the gaps. The 2nd activity is good – just delete the extra ‘in’ from the ‘in addition’ example.
